Smart water meters
Smart water meters help keep the water flowing for everyone.
You'll have access to your hourly, daily, weekly and monthly usage at your fingertips.
What does this mean for me?
We know household costs are important to our customers. A water meter could save you on average £264 a year and reduce the amount of water you use by up to 20%. By keeping an eye on your water usage you'll not only save money on your water bill but on your energy bill too. Over 25% of the costs are from heating water in your home.
Smart water meters also help us to understand our network to keep our clean, clear, great tasting tap water flowing to your pipes. Water is a precious resource like gas, trees and oil and as our smart water meters community grows we'll be able to work together to protect water for our future generations.
Water meters help the environment too
As customers on a water meter use up to 20% less water, that saving will help keep the water flowing for everyone to enjoy, creatures great or small. Find out more about the importance of water and wildlife at Suffolk Wildlife Trust (opens new window).
